Modernisation of stations, doubling of lines between Barang and Rajathgarh, commissioning of third line between Bhubaneswar and Barang and also work of Bhubaneswar New Station and other related have reached near completion.
They had been leading to frequent disrutions in train services by way of cancellation and rescheduling of many trains. Similarly, punctuality of trains was greatly affected in many cases too. However, as the work is nearing completion and minor works only remain to be tackled, it is expected that train services will normalise in about two days time.
Various link-pair trains will take about a day or two to start normal operations at scheduled departure timings, said an ECoR release.
