Two customers attacked Vijaya Singh Gandhi and Lulu Naik owner and cook of Sony Singh Bar and Restaurant, Joda town, under Joda police limits on Thursday.
Sources revealed that the two accused had come to bar at about 4 pm. After taking drink they also ate.
Before departing ,they had come to payment counter where they had some argument with cook Naik over quality of food and were getting ready to attack him. At that time, when owner Vijaya who was present there protested, the two in inebriated condition smashed a soda bottle and attacked both on their head.
Due to excess blood flowing, the duo had been sent to local Tata Steel hospital for treatment.
It is also alleged that the attackers had looted cash from the counter. The police are inquiring the matter.
