The third death anniversary of Prasanna Kumar Rath, a popular teacher of Banki area in Cuttack district widely known as ‘Prasanna Sir’, was held at Banki.
Rath was born in 1935 at Samantarapur village under Banki sub-division of Cuttack district. He joined at Dhansar Primary School near Banki in 1958.
His love for his pupils and dedication for work, besides his affable nature and simplicity had endeared him to one and all. After his retirement he had engaged himself in various cultural, social and religious activities. He breathed his last in 2010 at the age of 75.
Working president of Prasanna Sir Memorial Foundation Umakanta Panda paid his rich tribute on the occasion.
