The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has appointed prominent women activist Bandita Parida as the State Mahaila Congress president.AICC president Sonia Gandi approved her name for the post on Wednesday.
Bandita Parida (50) is a graduate from the Sarala Mahavidyalaya in Jagatsinghpur district. She had contested the 2019 Assembly elections unsuccessfully from Korei in Jajpur district. Of recently, she was working president of the State Mahila Congress. “I will continue to fight for the rights and interests of women in the State,” she said.
