The Jaleswar police arrested a woman and her paramour who allegedly killed her 13-day-old son due to an extramaritalrelationship. The accused were identified as Purnima Jena of Salikotha
village under Aruha GP and Tapas Deuri of Nimapur village.According to reports, Purnima and her son had gone missing onSeptember 12 and the body was found in a pond after four days.
During interrogation by police, Purnima confessed that she had killedher son because Tapas had kept the condition that he would marry herif she eliminated her son. Accordingly, she killed her son by cuttinghis throat and dumped the body in a pond. After arresting Purnima, police also nabbed her paramour from Bengal, said reports.
