Baleswar MP RK Jena was part of Indian Parliamentary delegation to the UK, who participated in various discussions held at King’s College, london last week.
Besides MPs of the India, other parliamentarians of different countries participated.
“Various important matters were taken up and discussed, including seriousness on our fight against terrorism. The British MPs were urged to consider action against Pakistan’s terrorists as they are not only a threat to India but to the global security,” said Jena.
The climate issue was also taken up and discussed with our counterparts. Each and every country has to play its part in containing the global warming.
The British MPs agreed to play a larger role and make a substantial contribution on this matter. “In order to bring down carbon footprints, we urged the British MPs and Government officials to make monetary contribution as per the Paris declaration.
Further, we urged the British MPs to work towards simplifying the procedures and norms for tourist visa for more Indians to travel to the United Kingdom,” he said, adding a discussion was made on UK’s legal system.
