The Bar Association of Baleswar on Thursday submitted a charter of demands to the District Judge addressed to the Chief Justice of High Court.

the incident.

The bar also demanded immediate arrest of the miscreants who attacked a Baleswar lawyer near Naharpatna a few days ago while he was returning

from Baripada.

“We demand judicial probe into the brutal police attack on the Bhubaneswar advocate and the assault on Baleswar lawyer Satya Prakash Dash,” said bar association executive member  Jitendra Upadhyay.

Association secretary Manoj Nayak said, “We have given two weeks’ time to act on our demands, after which we may resort to cease-work.”

Association president Niranjan Panda and vice-president Nrusingha Charan Nayak were also present at a meeting held on Thursday.
