Vigilance sleuths on Thursday arrested Niranjan Mishra, Village level Worker (VlW)-cum-Nuapada Gram Panchyat Executive Officer in Gudvella block in Balangir district while he was taking bribe.
According to reports, the Vigilance sleuths caught Mishra red-handed at his office room while he was receiving bribe of Rs3,000 from Kuntala Bhue, wife of Biman Bhue of Nuapada under the Tusra police station in the district to issue a certificate in the bill form for sanctioning of second instalment to the tune of Rs35,000 in her favour towards construction of a house under the Mo Kudia scheme.Meanwhile, Mishra was forwarded to court.
