The members of the Balangir Zilla Krushak Mahasangh led by Sudhir Parischha, Jati Pradhan and others on Wednesday staged a dharna before the collectorate here, opposing the deduction of paddy in the name of FAQ, streamlining the process of issuing tokens, besides hike in paddy purchase limit.
“Today we are staging a token strike demanding streamlining of the paddy procurement process in the district so that farmers will not face problems while selling their paddy. Unless the Government ensures it, there would be agitation in coming days,” warned Krushak Mahasangh district president Sudhir Parischha.
