Soon after a report was published in The Pioneer regarding the unsafe building of the Balanga Government Hospital, the Puri district health authorities on Tuesday prepared an action plan to renovate the building.
As per a direction of the Puri Chief District Medical Officer, a technical team of the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) came to the Balanga hospital and examined the condition of all structures of the hospital including doctors’ quarters.
The team prepared an action plan for renovation of the main building of the hospital, the labour room boundary wall, the main gate and the connecting concrete road to doctors’ quarters, Balanga Medical Officer Ashok Mishra said.
The team assured the renovation works would be started soon, he added.
