Amid the Bije Panda showing reluctance to conduct Pahandi of the Trinity in the Baladevjew temple during the Rath Yatra, ameeting was organised between them with the Baladevjew TempleEndowment Trust Board Committee chaired by Sub Collector-cum-thepresident of the Board Niranjan Behera.
After three hours of discussion, it was decided that to keep thetradition alive the Bije Panda would bring the deities on Pahandi bijefrom Bhoga mandap(Majhi Deula) to Jaga Mohana on Sri Gundicha Day. All the nine-day-long rites and rituals related to the Rath Yatra will be performed before the Trinity at the Jaga Mohan.
Two wooden planks will be worshipped as symbolic at the Snana Mandap on Sri Gundicha Day. Even Herapanchami rituals will be held inside the temple.
The chariots’ flag will be fixed at Bhoga Mandap, stated executive officer of Baladevjew Temple Endowment Committee Balabhadra Patri.
The servitors were panicked by the untimely death of some servitorslast year which was said to be outcome of the wrath of Lord Baladevjew
me rituals while Rath Yatra was cancelled.Earlier, the Bije Panda had petitioned to the Board that they wouldskip the rites and rituals along with Pahandibije of the Trinity asthe State Government restricted Rath Yatra this year.
