Utkalmani Gopabandhu Das, his associates Pandit Godavarish Misra, Pandit Krupasindhu Mishra and Acharya Harihar Das had stated a revolution by setting up an innovative institution Satyabadi School at Bakulabana of Satyabadi in Puri district.
The institution’s educational system and reformative programmes were known to be unique for producing quality human resources. But now, the institution is virtually in the ruins. looking like an abandoned place, the statues of the illustrious sons of the soil in the institutions premises have either been vandalised or stolen. Due to its importance and necessity, the Bakulabana should be revamped, demanded the Bakulabana Suraksha Parishad at a Press conference here on Friday.
Parishad leaders pointed out that the Bakulabana was set up for formation of a separate Stat of Odisha, protection of Odia language and, above all, to develop Odisha as frontrunner among the top States in the country. They demanded a library and a research centre to be set up in the school premises. The Central and State Governments should conserve and renovate the school, they demanded.
