Kendrapada MP Baijayant Panda on Friday wrote to Embassy of India to the UAE Navdeep Singh Suri urging him to take immediate stops for safe return of Odia youth Dibya Ranjan Behera from the United Arab Emirates where he has been detained since January 2018
“Nineteen crew members of the ship MV ‘Shaker 2’, including Dibya Ranjan, have been detained in UAE due to monetary dispute between a Mumbai-based private company owning the ship and the port authorities. Their passport and other essential documents have been seized. The family of Behera is in a mental trauma as his marriage was fixed for March 4. I request you to kindly look into this matter and take prompt steps for safe return of Dibya,” mentioned the MP.
