After failing to nab the assailants of the murderous attack on the relatives of senior Congress leader and former Jeypore MlA Tara Prasad Bahinipati on April 10, the Jeypore Town police have released their posters and pasted them at several public places in the town.
The posters carry the photos of the seven absconding accused persons involved in the case and the police have announced cash rewards to anyone who provides information on their whereabouts. Anybody who has any information about them can call the Jeypore Town police station or its IIC. The contact phone numbers have been mentioned in the posters.The accused whose photographs have been published in the posters are Dharmendra alias Kuna Adhikari, Hrudananda Parida, Sabyasachi Nayak, Sanjay Suna, Chiranjibi Patnaik, Ranjit Bagh and Rajendra Sahu.
Meanwhile, Koraput SP Awinash Kumar on Tuesday had held a review meeting here in this regard with senior police officials.It may be recalled that these persons had attacked Tara Prasad Bahinipati’s brother Tuna Bahinipati and nephew Gupta Prasad Mohapatra inside room no-217 of Hotel Madhumati past midnight on April 10, the day the elections were held there. Tara Prasad Bahinipati is the rival in the polls against Minister Rabi Narayan Nanda in the Jeypore Assembly constituency.
