Odisha Skill Development Authority (OSDA) Chairman Subroto Bagchi visited many skill development centers and Government and private ITIs at various places in Nabarangpur and Koraput districts on Monday.
After visiting a skill development centre at Hatpada, Nabarangpur, Bagchi held a close door discussion with the Gopabandhu Government ITI, Ambaguda Principal about facilities of the institution in presence of other Government officials at around 9 am.
Then he visited the ITI premises and interacted with some students, including physically-challenged ones.
By now, the newly appointed OSDA Chairman has covered more than 12 districts and examined skill development institutions. “I am now verifying status of skill development centres in all 30 districts of the State. After this, the Government will prepare a strategy to strengthen all these centres,” said Bagchi, adding that the process would certainly take time.
After visiting Ambaguda ITI, Bagchi went to the Jeypore Sub Divisional Madical and then visited courts at Koraput to see IT systems in use there.
