Mayurbhanj people to benefit
Good news for railway passengers of Mayurbhanj: A passenger train will start running between Badampahar and Rourkela via Tatanagar by the end of December this year. This has been confirmed by South Eastern Railway General Manager GS Mishra.
Recently, Jharkhand Governor Drowpadi Murmu, who hails from Mayurbhanj, held a discussion on this matter with senior Railways officials, including Mishra, during which she raised the Mayurbhanj people’s longstanding demand of running of a morning train from Badampahar to Rourkela. Mishra’s response was positive.
The track upgradation work along the Tata-Badampahar route, which is in the final phase, would soon be over and a passenger train would run from Badampahar to Rourkela via Tatanagar every morning by the end of December, Mishra assured.
