A two-month-old baby girl went missing from Platform-4 of the Bhubaneswar railway station on Monday noon. According to reports, one Anitha Rathod (20) of Karnataka’s Bijapur area got down with her baby from a train and took rest near the foot over bridge inside the station.
After a few minutes, she went to washroom leaving her baby on the platform. But on return, she found that her baby was not there. She lodged a complaint with the Government Railway Police. A team led by GRP IIC Soubhagya Swain searched nook and corner of the railway station but did not find the baby. On Tuesday, the team visited Anitha’s father-in-law’s house at Handappa in Angul district. They didn’t find the baby there too. Sources said Anitha had married to one Muna Sahu (25) of Angul in Bangalore four years ago. Anitha had gone to her parents’ house to bring her caste certificate as asked by her in-laws.
