Ruling BJD MlA of Kendrapada, Kishore Tarai, has landed in yet another controversy after it is now reported that he has furnished false information about his wife in the affidavits filed during the last Assembly elections.
Tarai is already embroiled in other controversies like allegedly ensuring election of his wife as panchayat Samiti member unopposed from Penthapal gram panchayat in Kendrapada district by arbitrarily withdrawing the candidatures of two other candidates with the help of the Pattamundai BDO and also using two different names of his father in the affidavits filed before the Election Commission of India during the 2009 and 2014 Assembly elections.
Now, it is revealed that while the MlA’s wife’s name has been mentioned as Babita Behera @ Tarai in her voter ID and PAN card and HSC certificate, the MlA in the 2014 Assembly affidavit mentioned his wife’s name as Kabita Behera.
However, the MlA said, “My wife’s name is Babita. With regard to the affidavit submitted by me during the last Assembly elections, a lawyer had prepared the affidavit. He may have committed the mistake and typed ‘K’ instead of B. It may be a typographical error,” clarified Tarai.
The MlA has also mentioned Bimbadhar Tarai as his father in the 2009 affidavit while the 2014 affidavit reads Bimal Tarai as his father.
