Critically ill twin babies were saved at the Aastha Mother and Child Care Hospital (AMCCH) here.
The twin babies aged 13 days of Vinod Majhi were admitted on September 26 in Astha Mother and Child Care Hospital here.
The babies were born at VSS Medical College and Hospital, Burla on September 13. Mother died soon after birth of twin babies in the hospital itself due to some heart decease. The babies became sick and needed hospitalisation. However, father of twin babies Binod, did not want to admit them in any Government hospital and heard about the good care and treatment in AMCCH and hence brought the babies to AMCCH with a lot of hope.
The babies were sick with septicemea and required injectable treatment and NICU care.
They stayed for 14 days in the hospital. Two foster mothers, who are their father’s relatives, were also trained by the staff in feeding the babies and looking after the new born. The babies started gaining weight when they were discharged on October https://ssl.gstatic.com/ui/v1/icons/mail/images/cleardot.gif Binod is a poor farmer from Etma, Sundargarh.
