Dinabandhu Nayak,(67) , hailing  from Satkosia, Thakurmunda, Mayurbhanj and his disciple Sarat Barik(50) of Oupada, Baleswar, had performed some sorcery activities in Gulunia village of Manipur panchayat under Soro police station limits to ward off evil spirits

Tension triggered after a woman, Sushila Khilar (52), who received healing treatment from the Baba died on Friday night. According sources, the Baba treated both Sushila and her daughter in –law Ambika by his method but the former died.

Following the death, tension sparked off and the irate villagers thrashed both of them holding them responsible for the untimed demise of Sushila. The Baba, however, claimed that he gave herbal medicines to both Sushila and Ambika. While it worked for Ambika and she got cured, he did not know why her mother-in-law Sushila died, he said.
