At a time when India is facing acute shortage of healthcare appliances, here is a man of Baleswar town who claims to have developed a low cost ventilator that could save millions of lives. Sakil Azam Khan (52), son of Kutub Khan, a resident of Sunhat area said his ventilator would cost about Rs 6,000 and he could produce about 10-15 units in a day if he got approval from the appropriate authorities and the Government.
Sakil has a stabiliser manufacturing unit which he sells at low cost. But he also repairs various medical equipment including CT scan, Ultra sound machines and endoscope, etc.
Sakil said he manufactured his low cost ventilator after managing all spare parts and components and his prototype was operational.
