Panda with a band of BJD Youth and Student wing leaders and volunteers took the body to the nearest Nilakantheswar Cremation ground and made all necessary arrangements for the cremation. Even though the deceased was having no one to take care of her body, but MLA Panda conducted the cremation with all rituals under his assistance and supervision in a most dignified way and set an example for others.

Panda was accompanied with  District BJD VP Sanjeet Kumar Panigrahi, besides party workers and volunteers here on Monday.

It may be recalled here that, Panda during the crucial pandemic had opened a help desk at Nilakantheswar Cremation ground  where wood and other required materials were made available to the poor and helpless Covid victims for cremation.  Panda then facilitated several Covid victims for cremation with the help of “Mo Parivar” programme. He was also honored with “Covid Yodha Samman” for his ungrudging help to poor and helpless.
