The students of Government ITI Brahmapur have put up a large sculpture of 28 feet long and 24 feet width made of 4 tonnes of scrap.

The sculpture was inaugurated on Tuesday on Local Self Governance Day at the Engineering school square here. The scrap sculpture is claimed to be the largest in the country for which the Government ITI is trying to place it in Asia Book of Records soon, said Principal Rajat Kumar Panigrahy.

Students of the fitter and welder trade of ITI Brahmapur with the help of their teachers have designed and built the wonderful sculpture for the first time outside the campus. The BeMC has provided the cost of raw materials while the  institute has provided the free skill of their students for execution of the mega project. The sculpture will be placed in the city in the coming days,  said Panigrahy.
