The ITI Brahmapur hogged the limelight by developing a new “sand cleaning tool." This will help clean the sea beaches.
On Tuesday, the unique sand cleaning tool was launched by Collector Kulange in presence of Sub Collector, Brahmapur Keerthi Vasan V, and Principal, ITI, Dr Rajat Kumar Panigrahy. Kulange highly appreciated the efforts of the students to develop a new concept which is highly helpful.
The cleanness will attract tourists and can promote tourism in the area. The Institute was asked to make 20 such items for all the beaches of Ganjam district
The manual sea beach cleaner is not only eco-friendly but also easy to use and cost-effective, said Dr Panigrahy.
The cleaner weighs low, is easy to handle and cleans the beach up to 1,000 square feet in one hour. The manufacturing cost is around Rs 4,000.
“It is a new innovation by the institute in New Year. It will make the ongoing cleanliness drive at the famous Gopalpur beach easier,” Dr Panigrahy pointed out.
