An allegation of gulping the incentive money of about 72 ASHAs in Dava CHC under Jharbandh Block limits in Bargarh district has come to the fore recently. The sum of money will be Rs 10 lakh which is due from April to August last year.
It is alleged that the money has gone to the pocket of the Accountant of the CHC.
Now the officer has been working at CHC Talpali under Gaisilet Block of Bargarh district.
The allegation levelled by none other than the ASHAs was also admitted by Dr Madhusmita Meher, in-charge of the CHC and she has also informed the matter to the CDMO.
Numerous allegations have been given to the CDMO against the Accountant on the matter but no action has been taken by till date
The victims have requested the CM to intervene and release their incentive money before Nuankhai festival which will be held on August 23. They have also petitioned to former MLA Pradeep Purohit.
Locals have demanded an investigation into the allegation and action against the errant officer.
