Vigilance officials on Thursday raided the office and houses of the Headmaster of Panchupali High School at Baliapal in Baleswar district on the charge of acquisition and possession of property disproportionate to his known sources of income.
A 16-member team of the Baleswar Vigilance wing conducted the simultaneous raids on Headmaster Manoranjan Barik’s in-laws’ house at Sheragada and six other places at Panchupali, Angaragadia and Manda villages. During the raids, officials of the anti-graft wing examined several documents.
However, the exact amount of disproportionate assets possessed by the headmaster was yet to be ascertained.
