B’swar lawyers displeased over CB probe

Published on:

Some lawyers of Jaleswar have expressed their displeasure over the Crime Branch probe into the link between the former Jaleswar police station IIC and a drug peddler.

They demanded a high-level prove either by the CBI or any other Central agency to unearth the deep-rooted nexus.

The lawyers stated the drug peddling is carried out by an international racket and Jaleswar being close to West Bengal has been a hub for narcotics trading.

They alleged that although IIC Dhaneswar Sahu was suspended yet they said the audio clips of the conversations between the police officer, drug peddler and middleman should be thoroughly investigated. They alleged that no significant progress has been made since the Crime Branch took over.
