As per call from the Odisha Senior Citizen Forum, the Ganjam District Biju Patnaik Senior Citizen Forum (BPSCF) presented a memorandum having eight foremost demands of the senior citizens to the Southern RDC Bramhapur T Aou.
The main demands of the forum are monthly allowance of Rs 2,000 to each senior citizen, 50% bus fare concession in Government and private buses, recreation rooms in each block and municipality as well as Municipal Corporation, Biju Health Card to all senior citizens for Rs 5 lakh and free ration of 10 kg wheat or rice, among others.
The forum took out a rally from Brundaban Nayak statue near Kamapalli Square under the guidance of its president Prof Jayant Mohapatra, secretary Malaya Kanta Bishoyi and working president Surjya Kanta Patra and ended near the RDC office.
