The Baristha Nagarika Manch observed the Utkal Divas in the premises of Divine Life Society at Lanjipalli in Jail Road here on Thursday. President of the Manch and well known life scientist Prof Bhaskar Padhi presided over the function.
Academician Hayagriba Tripathy graced the event as chief guest who in his address recollected the sacrifices made from the soil of Ganjam district for a separate State status to Odisha.Social activist Jayaram Swain introduced the guests and SN Das offered the vote of thanks. Secretary of the Manch Biswanath Padhy organized the event.
Among others, Prafulla Kumar Panda was present.In the end, the Manch celebrated the 73rd birthday of eminent life scientist Prof Padhy.
