The first death of a child due to Covid has occurred in Barhmapur. The deceased was Kailash Nayak (10), son of Kedarnath Nayak of Housing Board Colony, Brahmapur.
Kailash had been admitted to the paediatric ward of MKCG Medical College Hospital as he was suffering from halmophillia and ketosis since long and was treated on multiple occasions. Later, he was detected Covid positive at paediatric ward and referred to DCH ward.Hospital sources said that Kailash was on oxygen at a rate of 15 litres per minute. Despite all efforts, he died at around 7.40 pm.
