Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik recently through videoconferencing announced the Saraswati Sishu Vidya Mandir, Neelakantha Nagar here as the best school basing on the results of Class-X board examination results. Former Higher Education Minister Dr Pradeep Kumar Panigrahi, DEO Dr Sanatan Panda, BEO Prabhati Mahapatra and other officers were present in the Rangeilunda Block Education office while Patnaik announced.
The managing committee of the school getting Rs one lakh as cash prize congratulated Saraswati Vidya Mandir Principal S Mohan Rao, Saraswati Sishu Vidya Mandir Principal Umadhav Mohanty and teachers. Besides, five students namely Sudam Charan Sahu, Purshotam Sahu, Sameer Padhy, Badrinarayan Panda and Subham Nayak of the school were awarded with State-level Language scholarship and 11 students were awarded with the Medhabruti scholarship.
