The “Baristha Nagarika Manch” of Brahmapur led by its founding president noted social worker and teacher Trinath Maharana organised the Guru Divas function here.
The meeting was presided over by Manch president Maharana. The three educationists who were felicitated on the occasion include former Professor and Dean of Sambalpur University and senior scribe Prof Krushna Chandra Panda, former DEO of Gajapati and Malakanagiri districts Prasant Kumar Mahapatra and former headmaster Bhikari Charan Gouda.
The trio was given a rousing reception in recognition of their contribution in the field of education.
Manch president Maharana in his welcome address explained the significance of the “Guru Divas.” He also narrated the various social works undertaken by the Manch for the poor and destitute during the Covid-19 pandemic. Er Prabhat Kumar Mishra graced the event as guest of honor while surgeon Dr Rajendra Kumar Behera shared the dais as chief huest. Simanchal Pati offered the vote of thanks.
