The Bargarh District Private Bus Owners’ Association (PBOA ) opposing a new bus-stand of Bargarh Municipality here said that the project was an illegal one.
Addressing a Press meet on Friday, the association members alleged that the municipality had constructed a market complex having 171 shop rooms where it wants to run the new bus stand. But the place is not appropriate for the bus stand and besides, the complex has been built illegally violating the guidelines of the Orissa Town Planning Improvement Trust Act 1956 and Rules.
The association threatened to move court if the bus stand is run from the illegal market complex. Notably, in this connection, they had called for 24-hour strike in past and given a memorandum to the district administration.
