The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) Bhubaneswar chapter on Monday conducted a career awareness programme on ‘Career as a company secretary’ for commerce students of the RD Women’s (Autonomous) College.
Addressing students company secretary (CS) of IND Bharath Power Infra limited, Hyderabad said, “CS profession is a profession wherein a CS even at the age of 21-22 has an opportunity for entering into the board room of a Government or a private limited companies.”
He also urged the students to devote minimum three hours a day to complete the CS course effectively.Speaking on the occasion ICSI Bhubaneswar chapter chairman Arabinda Acharya too elaborated the procedure for joining CS course and also spoke about the examination pattern and various fee structure of the institute.
Notably, the ICSI Bhubaneswar chapter is organising awareness programmes throughout the State to make students aware about the course at Class X and Plus levels. Among others, Head of Commerce Department Dr Harihar Mishra and Prof Dr Sridhar Swain also spoke.
