A day after a faceoff between them over carriage of passengers, both bus and auto rickshaw drivers on Friday staged road blockades in different parts of the town disrupting vehicular movements.
According to sources, a faceoff had ensued between the two groups on Thursday over carriage of passengers from bus-stand in which two persons were injured.
While the Bus Owners’ Association blocked road on NH-26 by burning tyres and sitting on roads, the Auto-rickshaw Drivers’ body resorted to the same at Majhiguda Square.
Police lodged two separate cases in the matter on the basis of complaints filed by both sides.
