Auditors demand cadre rule, Class II tag

Published on:

The Odisha Subordinate Finance Service (local Fund Audit) Association has demanded creation of cadre rule and appealed to the State Government to accord Class II officer status to the local Fund Auditors at the time of appointment.

“local Fund Auditors in States like Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh and Kerala join services with Class II officer status.  Why it will not be replicated in Odisha,” questioned association president Jyotrimaya Kar.

Arguing for creation of cadre rule Kar said, “If the Government creates cadre rule auditors would be elevated to the post of District Audit Officer, Assistant Director, Deputy Director and Joint Director at the Audit Directorate, besides streamlining in cadre system.”

Kar in a Press release said under the present process an auditor can be elevated to the Audit Superintendent and Additional District Audit Superintendent.

Association secretary Rashmi Ranjan Das maintained that they would resort to agitation if the Government fails to consider their demand at the earliest.
