The process of the administrative probe into the attack on two Union Ministers’ vehicles at Bargarh last month to inquire and analyse the genesis and sequence of the events leading to the incident has begun.

The inquiry  by RDC (Northern Division) Bhaskar Jyoti Sarma would also report to the State Government on the role, conduct and

responsibility of persons leading to the incident and timely and appropriate administrative and police action or lapses, if any, the RDC's office said in a Press note.

The inquiry process has started about three weeks after the attack on the convoys of Union Minister Santosh Gangwar on June 24. Besides Gangwar, Union Minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti and other senior BJP leaders were on way to attend a party meeting when BJD workers allegedly attacked their convoys with stones in which three vehicles including that of Gangwar were damaged.

The terms of reference of the inquiry include analysis of the genesis and sequence of events leading to the incident; the role, conduct and responsibility of persons leading to the incident and timely and appropriate administrative and police action or lapses.

People who wish to furnish information on this can file affidavit either in person or by post before the Secretary to the RDC from July 16 to 19, the Press note said, adding that the affidavits submitted during this period can be verified by interested persons on July 20 and counter-affidavits may be filed on July 21.

Persons interested to give oral evidence regarding the incident may do so before the RDC at Sambalpur on July 28 during office hours, it said.
