In the attack against former MP Kharabela Swain at Kashipur, the main culprit and his associates were nabbed within 24 hours of the incident and forwarded to court, thanks to the efforts of Rayagada SP Rahul PR.
He was also able to take the main culprit into three days remand for further inquiry. While asked by the scribes about the involvement of the culprits with the ruling party, he responded by saying that it might not be ruled out. This reflects that he is not one to buckle under pressure.
