The people of Athagarh are upbeat after music director and singer Manmath Mishra joined BJD. He may be considered as an alternative leader to sitting MlA Ranendra Pratap Swain.
As Mishra has good reputation in Athagarh as well as in the State, people have high expectation on him, said journalist Babita Das.
Mishra told The Pioneer that he would contest from the Athagarh Assembly segment if party supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik offered him a chance. A native of the area, Mishra said that he was confident of winning peoples’ trust here with his family having a good reputation.
