Scores of dissident BJD workers from Mahakalapada on Thursday held a meeting and protested fielding of former Energy Minister and MlA Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak as BJD candidate for Mahakalpada Assembly seat.
They demanded BJD supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik not to give ticket to Nayak from Mahakalapada as the grassroots Biju supporters were neglected by him. later, the women who were present in the meeting lit earthen lamps (diyas) at the Nilakanthaswar temple praying the lord to bless Navinbabu to become the Chief Minister once again and seeking that Nayak did not get ticket for Mahakalapada.
