Non-banking financial institution Artha Tatwa (AT) Group CMD Pradeep Sethi was sent to jail on Sunday after his remand period was over. On the way to jail, Sethi reassured the investors to return their deposited money.

Meanwhile, the Commissionerate Police seized a few costliest cars, including Toyota land Cruzer Plato worth over Rs 87 lakh and a luxury bike ‘Suzuki Intruder’ worth Rs 18 lakh from the possession of the company.

The police team recovered the car from a place near Salia Sahi here. From the day one of the police crackdown on the company, the car was left there. “We are trying to collect evidence. Once we get evidence, we would proceed further,” said Bhubaneswar DCP Nitinjit Singh. Police said that their investigation is on to arrest other associates of Sethi.

Notably, the police investigating team had recovered an imported Jaguar (OR02 BW 0555) worth Rs 1.33 crore in possession of Sethi, who has publicly admitted of cheating people and making his fortune through dubious money circulation schemes in December 2012. The Jaguar is a precious luxury car hardly found in a poor State like Odisha. Mostly, mining barons who make windfall profits could afford such cars.
