Artha Tatwa (AT) Group chit fund scam main accused Pradeep Sethy was produced before a Special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Court on Tuesday. Six other accused persons also appeared before the court. Sources said it was their routine appearance.
On November 11, the Orissa High Court had granted conditional bails to five accused of the scam. They are Manoj Das, Bikash Swain, Vineet lalani, Sandip Khuntia and Manoj Patnaik.
All the five accused persons were earlier denied bail by the CBI court, and the Khurda District and Sessions Judge Court. Sethy is now lodged at the Jharpada Special Jail here after being nabbed by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW), which initially probed the chit fund scam before the CBI took over the investigation in 2014 following a Supreme Court order.
