Finally, a single bidder turned up to purchase at least three homestead plots under Chilika tehsil, which belonged to tainted chit fund company Astha Group of Companies. As many as 12 plots of the Company worth over Rs1.42 crore were attached by the Government and were up for grab under e-auction on Friday.
While there was no taker for the company’s landed plots under Chhatrapur tehsil, a local inhabitant of Chilika showed interest to purchase its Chilika plots for a price of Rs11.94 lakh. The combined base price of these three plots were pegged at Rs 11 lakh, informed receiver of the properties Cuttack ADM BB Das. Properties worth over Rs70 lakh of another tainted chit fund company. Golden land Developers, would be auctioned to public between 11 am and 3 pm on Saturday, Das informed.
