Assembly session in W Odisha demanded

Odisha Krushak Mahasabha president and former MlA Bibhudhendra Pratap Das has called upon the activists agitating for separate Kosal State to demand conduct of two Sessions of the Assembly in western Odisha.

“A separate Koshal State will not solve any purpose. Since the number of MPs of the proposed State is six, there voice will not be heard in the Parliament, thereby hampering the development process of the Kosal State,” said Das.

Arguing that strong political leadership and willpower will take western Odisha to a new height, Das appealed to the activists to intensify their agitation for two Assembly Sessions in western Odisha in order to ensure rapid development of the backward districts. “During my tenure from 1980 to 1985 as an Assembly member, I had appealed to the House to ensure to arrange only one Session of the Assembly in western Odisha, but in vain,” revealed Das.
