The State Assembly’s coming Winter Session would be held from December 1 amid Covid-19 restrictions like the previous session, informed Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro on Thursday.
The seating arrangements would be made as per the Covid safety norms in the House, Speaker’s Gallery and Public Gallery. The MLAs unable to be present in the House physically can attend the session via videoconference at the Lok Seva Bhawan.
The MLAs, their PSOs and drivers as well as Assembly employees would undergo Covid-19 and antibody tests on November 28, 29 and 30.
“In this regard, the discussion has been held with the Health Secretary and Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) officials. The House will be sanitised everyday. The business hours of the session will be decided at an all-party meeting scheduled on November 29,” Patro said.
