Odisha Legislative Assembly Speaker Bikram Keshari Arukha formally informed the House during the Zero Hour that 'daughter of Odisha Droupadi Murmu on Monday took oath as the President of India which was a moment of pride and glory for the State. So, he appealed for a unanimous resolution to be adopted in the Assembly congratulating Murmu.
Accordingly, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Niranjan Pujari moved a resolution during the afternoon session and said a House Committee led by the Speaker should be formed and it should go to Delhi and meet Murmu for thanking her. The Speaker approved the resolution.
