The process for the constitution of the 15th Odisha legislative Assembly began on Sunday with the State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Mona Sharma meeting Governor SC Jamir at the Raj Bhavan here.
Sharma presented the gazette notification to the Governor in this regard. She was accompanied by the Principal Secretary of the Election Commission of India during her visit to the Governor.The model code of conduct, which had been in force since the Election Commission of India’s announcement of the poll schedule on March 5, was withdrawn in the State with effect from Sunday, informed Sharma.
