The entire opposition on Wednesday disrupted business in the State Assembly during the pre- and post-lunch sessions in protest against Speaker Niranjan Pujari not allowing the notice on adjournment for discussion on the IDCO land scam as pointed out by the CAG.
The Speaker was forced to adjourn the House for five consecutive times till the stalemate was resolved through an all-party meeting.
The Opposition members protested after their notice for the admissibility of the adjournment motion on the irregular grant of right to mortgage IDCO land and issue of no-objection certificated to industrial houses was not taken up for discussion.
Normalcy returned in the House as the issue was resolved at the all-party meeting to hold discussion on the demands for grants relating to the Panchyati Raj Department for 2014-15.
