Assam Governor Banwarilal Purohit is scheduled to attend as chief guest the occasion of the second death anniversary observation of Odisha’s former Chief Minister and Assam’s former Governor Janaki Ballav Patnaik here at the Sarala Bhawan here on April 21.
Janaki Ballav Memorial Foundation general secretary Dr Gobind Chandra Bhuyan further informed reporters that like previous year, the foundation would also felicitate a distinguished social worker, an accomplished journalist and an eminent litterateur on the occasion.
He said that in order to preserve the memories of late JB Patnaik, the foundation would every year honour a social worker, a journalist and a litterateur with JB Memorial Award as the legendary leader had made remarkable contributions in these fields.
