State champion Ashutosh Padhy among the 14-member national squad to participate in the World Championship Snooker U-21 schedule to be held at Belgium from August 16 to 25.
Only international cueist of the State Asutosh after conceding inaugural day defeat from China, he bounced back in style by defeating Mohammed Saqib of Pakistan 4-2 in the Asian Under-21 Snooker Championship at Colombo in the month of March. He entered the pre-quarterfinal rounds by defeating Seeon Kim of Koria 4-1.
He suffered defeat in the pre-quarterfinal round but conform his berth in the national team to participate in the world meet.
